A Short Introduction: Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust Bhiwandi
Mumbai city has a prominent status in India. Delhi is a political capital of India while Mumbai is said to be an economical capital of her. That is the reason why the population register bearing the city represent almost every state of India. Even the foreigners feel proud to settle down here and do their best to flourish their business. In short Mumbai is considered among one of the leading or rating cities of India due to her dense population, many dimension process and innumerable business opportunities.
In the North east of Mumbai, there is a well-known city called “BHIWANDI” which is nearly 50 km away. Bhiwandi is famous for her textile industry. Her population is more than 16 Lakh. Muslim are in majority here and earn their livelihood living mostly by textile industry or cloth traders. In near past the city was quite backward as far as religious or ethical consider of it concerned. The city was well wrapped in indecent deeds and people were prone to introduce new rituals in Islam. They would deep distance from the Quran and Hadith. In this dark atmosphere a team of responsible religious minded people who were well imbibed with religious activities made up their mind and pledged to popularize the teaching of the Quran and Hadith. There’s no doubt to make this movement fruitful, it needed authentic and strong platform keeping that need on Sunday, 8th October 1972, in the presence of Honorable Shaykh Mukhtar Ahmad Nadvi “Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust Bhiwandi” was founded and these following authorities were elected.

“Baitul Maal” was established after Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust, under this institution so many religious welfare and conversion activities were embarked. To strengthen the Baitul Maal apart from donation collected during Ramadan, Animal hides or skins were also collected from 1975 to 1978.
Invitation to religious Teaching Program:
Under the department of “Invitation” on the daily weekly or monthly basis, religious teaching programs are held in different mosques usually. After every three month, a big program is arranged even individual focus in given on person to person. Prominent and well known religious scholars from India as well as from foreign countries are invited to delivers their speeches Books and folders on different topics are published. More than these Juma speeches are specially arranged in different mosques of the city.
A good preacher has been appointed in this department who arranges daily preaching classes, Juma speeches and monthly religious programs.
Purchase of Akbar Madoo House :
During 1978 to 1980 it had been decided to purchase Akbar Madoo House so that an authentic and standard contemporary school for girls could be established. Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust Bhiwandi gave the owners of the house Rs. 20,000/- as token amount. Later the remaining amount was paid step by step as promised. The Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust had formed a separate educational society called “Aqsa Educational Society” to run the institution.
Ambulance Service:
Most of patients in Bhiwandi had to referred and sent to Mumbai due to lack of medical facilities in the city. The authorities of Jamiat requested Maulana Mukhtar Ahmad Nadvi Rahimahullah to help to cope up with these problems. He answered our request and gave us his full support to buy the Ambulance. Thus in September 1984, Ambulance Service was started.
During the same year in 1984, as house was also constructed for “Madarsa Faraan” in Kalyan Road at Nehru Nagar. For many years teaching and learning activities went on until the “Masjid e Tawheed” was built at the same structure post construction of Masjid e Tawheed, the Madarsa was discontinued.
A short introduction of different departments run by Jamiat Ahle Hadees and numerous activities arranged by it.
Education :
Part time religious teaching being arranged in different mosques of the city under the guidance of Jamiat. Here special attention is given on “Nazira Quraan” belief, importance of reading Quraan and reciting the names of Allah and his verses. The character building in the light of events in the life of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be upon Him) practical demonstration of ablution (Wudhu) and Namaz. Summer camps students going to school has been included in preference. Randomly educational programs for elders and youth are also arranged.
Establishment and Commencement of “Jamiatut Tawheed”
Even being a developing industry and enjoying Muslim majority belt, Bhiwandi didn’t have a single institution where pure religious teaching being imparted. Being motivated by Qari Saadullah (R.A) and Maulana Wasiuddin Umri respected Zafrullah Khateeb and his elder brother Mohammad Ali Khateeb and their some trusted friends setup an institution in 2002 at Ameen Baugh, Khadipar without accommodation facilities. This Madarsa was being run under his surveillance and guidance. Meanwhile honorable Shabbir Ahmad Anjum and some of his friends started a movement to set up an Arabic Madarsa under the banner of Jamiat and gave an application to the Jamiat to consider the proposal. Realizing the importance of the proposal honorable Abdul Hameed Khan sought suggestion from Alauddin Khan and the austerities of Jamiat. Everyone had supported the idea, realizing the need of a well functional and standard Arabic Institution as the need of the nation, they made up their mind to establish it. To discuss all the aspect of the project, at last on 1st April 2004 a meeting was held at Mahapoli. Zafarullah Khateeb bestowed his institution to Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust with full will and intention in the same meeting.
Since that day, the said institution came under the control of Jamiat. With the suggestion and contribution of the subordinates, it has been progressing day by day. It is important to describe here the educational and structural development, that could be observed since the institution came under Jamiat control.
A written Ad-hoc system for Jamia was formulated.
A new pattern of curriculum was selected for primary to Aalmiyat.
A piece of land, adjacent to Jamia was purchased due to beneficial efforts of honorable Haji Abdus Shakoor Chaudhary and completion of the building for the Jamia was also done because of his contribution. Two storey building, a hostel and a permanent two storey building for Shoba-e-Hifz were constructed.
Aalmiyat (Saadsa) was arranged in department of Arabic.
Permission for class V was also obtained in primary section. In near future, we are planning to expand it up to class X (S.S.C)
A well worth kitchen and dining hall were constructed.
Permanent and separate offices for department of Arabic and primary section were setup.
Editorial department were reshuffled.
Annual magazine “Attawheed” was inaugurated.
Beds and mattresses for student were arranged.
Well furnished library was setup.
Computer Classes were commenced.
A big R.O Machine was also installed for clean drinking water.
C.C.T.V cameras were fixed for surveillance.
Different department of Jamiatut Tawheed:
1) Primary 2) Arabic 3) Hifz (Memorizing the Quraan)
Primary Department:
One has to spend eight years in the category. All subjects recognized by Government of Maharashtra are being taught here. Pupils are taught to how to read the Quraan with great emphasis on the articulation and pronunciation.
Arabic Department:
Academic duration in this department is 7 years. Basically teaching of the Quraan and the Hadith are imparted here. At secondary level English, Science, History and Geography are imparted. Keeping before the curriculum of best “Salafi School” of the country our curriculum has been compiled. On the guidance of this curriculum teaching and learning process is arranged to go on regularly and smooth way. Other characters of this department could be observed will the following features.
Contemporary curriculum along with religious one.
Practice for spoken Arabic.
Emphasis on improving talents and skills in Arabic and English.
Deep and thorough study of the subject instead of bookish knowledge.
Co-curriculum activities.
Basic knowledge of Marathi language.
Computer Courses
Emphasis on developing good manners and habits.
Weekly debate and discussions.
Extra classes for slow learners.

Department of Hifz (Memorizing the Quraan):
Duration of this course is 3 years. Urdu, Hindi, English and Marathi languages periods are also arranged along with articulation and memorization of the Quraan. On every Friday, classes for contemporary study materials are regularly conduct so that students could get admission in higher institution once they complete their courses here.
Examination:
To assess the standard educational level of students and to strengthen it, terminal and annual examinations are held. More than two exams are taken to awake their educational perceptions to make up their weakness and to develop confidence in them. One such exam is taken before terminal exam and the other before annual exam. These two exams are written, oral and are on practical knowledge base.
Darul Kutub Lin-Nadi:
Many years before a well furnished library has been setup to develop reading habits in students. Different magazines, tabulates and books are prescribed regularly to this library. Alhamdulillah, volumes of books has been increasing day by day.
General Library:
We have a general library too. The teachers and the students are taking benefits from it to obtain references and resources of different contents; it helps them to have constant contact with these resources. It provides them the required references to compile good essays and Thesises when needed. It also help them to provide authentic books to derive or abstract some reliable solution for a new question or problem. Library has more than 20 thousand reference books.
Department to build Masjid (Mosque):
Under this department, Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust has constructed many Masajid (Mosque) in different parts of Bhiwandi and many others are being managed well under the supervision of Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust. Short introduction of these mosque are here.
That should be kept in mind that in Shelar (Bhiwandi) a piece of land for constructing a mosque has been bought but due to some legal entanglement, construction work could not be commenced by the grace of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’la) in some area of the city like Millat Nagar, Dhamankar Naka and Naigaon suitable plots are being surveyed and identified to build the mosque.
1) Madarsa and Masjid-e-Tawheed:
It is one of the grand and magnificent mosque built by Jamiat. It is located at Fandole Nagar, Kalyan Road behind Kslyan Road Power house. Five times prayers and sermon on Friday, weekly teaching and learning sessions are arranged, and basic teaching of Islam are being imparted regularly. In the guidance of two scholars, scores of students are being taught since 20th March 2009 regularly.
2) Masjid-e-Mohammad Bin Fahad Al-Ajami And Madarsa Hera:
Adjacent to Shanti Nagar, on a hillock, a magnificent mosque and Madarsa Hera has been constructed. From many aspect this area could be entitled as “backward” and most of the people are labourer and poor person that is the reason special attention has been given on it. Since December 1997. Five times prayers and Friday prayer are regularly being held here. By the grace of Allah, like other mosques, part time teaching programs are also arranged. Noticeable students have been getting religious teaching here.
3) Madarsa and Jama Noorul Islam (Rahmat Bi Library):
In Bhiwandi, Shanti Nagar area is famous for her dense population. Most of Jamiat volunteers are from this area A grand mosque named “Noorul Islam” has been built. Since 2000, five times prayers and Friday prayer are being performed. More than 150 students have been getting education under the guidance of expert teachers. A philanthropist donated to buy a piece of land adjacent to Masjid Noorul Islam on 8th October 2010. The plot was bought and Masjid-e-Ayesha was constructed on it. By the grace of Allah and from the support of Rahmat Foundation, Rahmat Bi Library has been setup in the premises.
4) Masjid-e-Rabiya:
There is a beautiful building at Mangal Bazar, Zaitoonpura, it is named as “Masjid-e-Rabiya.” In the vicinity of the mosque good number of supporters of the Jamiat have been living. On Juma good numbers of audience present in the mosque for Salatul Juma. Between Maghrib and Esha, a part time Madarsa has been run in which nearly 300 students have been studying under the guidance of well-educated teachers. Since 30th December 1995, five time prayers, Juma prayer and religious addresses and sermons have been performed regularly. By the grace of Allah, in the near past 4300 Sq. Feet plot adjacent to mosque has been bought at present, this mosque has a central status among other mosques.
5) Masjid-e-Shahenaz:
Shahenaz Bint Abdus Shakoor Momin was a kind hearted amiable generous and pious lady. She got 1365 Sq. Feet space as heirloom. She donated the whole space to be used as mosque. This space has been converted as mosque and named as “Masjid-e-Shahenaz”. This mosque is located at a ground floor of a beautiful and grand building. Since 1st of Ramadhan 1426 Hijri regular five times prayers has been performed. When the locals of the area insisted, even Juma prayer were also started to be performed.
6) Masjid-e-Jama Ali Abdullah Al-Musalmani:
On September 2005, a piece of land was purchased at Ahmed Nagar Road, Khadipar, Bhiwandi. On this land this mosque was constructed. Since 13th March 2009, five time prayers, sermon on Juma and Namaz Juma have been performed regularly. By the grace of Allah like other mosques, part time religious teachings has been imparted here. Hundreds of students are adorned with religious teaching between Maghrib and Esha.
7) Masjid-e-Rahmat:
Honorable Munna Quraishi and ateeque had purchased whole ground floor area of a building located at 2418, Rahmat Complex, Peerani Pada, Shanti Nagar and have it registered for “Jamiat Ahle Hadees Trust Bhiwandi.” By the grace of Allah, five time prayers are being arranged regularly. For religious teaching for children, a Madarsa has also been set up here.
8) Masjid-e-Al Haaj Shah Mohammad Rozan:
Haji Riyaz Shah Mohammad sahib has donated nearly 1600 Sq. Feet area (ground floor) of his building for constructing a mosque and a library on the space. By the grace of Allah, five time prayers are being performed.
Jamiat Office and Central Library:
In 1993 a valuable flat (1050 Sq feet) was bought at 549, Gauripada, Near Rais High School, Thana Road, for Jamiat office work and to establish a library, Jamiat office was shifted in this new flat that is still functioning even today.
This library has many ancient and rave collection of Tafseer e Quraan, Sihah e Sitta and other Islamic knowledge books. The number of these books are near about 6 thousand apart from these daily newspapers and more than 20 magazines and tabulates of different languages are bought for the library regularly. Common people as well as scholars have been benefiting from them.
Maktaba-e-Ittehad:
Under this publication house up to now nearly 37 Islamic books have been published as per the need of the occasion pamphlets and booklets on different Islamic topics are distributed among people.
Ittehad Library
A few year back, some honest youths dwelling in and around Fatima Nagar, sixty feet road, established an Islamic library to improve the social condition of the area under the guardianship of Jamiat. Now this library has been shifted to an impressive building of Alhaaj Azeemur Rahman that is located at Auchit Pada. By the grace of Allah serious readers of the city have been visiting and benefiting from it continuously.
Establishment of Darul Ifta
Muslims indulged and involve in so many problems and troubles on the other hand. They have been facing many problems concerning to Nikah, Talaq (Divorce) or have confusion on Muslim personal laws sometimes it reaches to fighting when these matter get worsen. To cope with these problems, Jamit has set up “Darul Ifta” a team of highly qualified scholars. Authority in the respected field has been formed to give answers to these questions according to the teachings of Quraan and Hadees. Apart from these, the team trying their best to compromise or reconcile through mutual understanding.
Educational Scholarship and Rewards:
Jamiat gives educational scholarships to students studying in secondary, higher secondary, medical and vocational fields so that they could fulfill their dreams to achieve higher education. More than this, students from Urdu medium schools of Bhiwandi who had gotten high scores are conferred with Maulana Abdus Samad Memorial Trophy and other rewards.
Sadq-e-Fitr (Ration Fund):
Every year Jamit provides cereals to needy person from the amount allotted for sadq-e-fitr. This act of Jamiat is being praised from every nook and corner of the society. Every year, the number of volunteers in this scheme has been increasing. Irrespective of caste, creed or Maslak nearly 1500 family get benefit from this scheme.
Relief Fund:
Jamiat arranges relief fund for the people affected by disaster and natural calamities and for their rehabilitation on national and regional level. For this purpose a special bank account is maintained. Recently during lockdown imposed due of pandemic, ration and groceries and other necessary commodities were distributed among 2300 families along with this needy patients were provided oxygen cylinders and even “Mansoora Kada (concoction)”
Some other activities of the Jamiat:
For the last many years, regular monthly payment of money are given to orphans and widows. Alhamdulillah, nearly 75 needy persons have been getting benefit from this project.
Monetary help to patients for their treatment.

Distribution of mutton or beef during days of sacrifice (Yaumun Nahar)
Future planning of Jamiatut Tawheed:
Plans and project expected to be started soon are as follows:
Inauguration of a bilingual magazine(Urdu and English)
A big and well equipped computer lab.
Transport: a bust to ply students.
Affiliation of the Jamiatut Tawheed with well-known national and international universities.
Distance courses and arrangement of department of “Tahfeez” for students of school during their co-curriculum activities hours.
Availability of sports paraphernalia for kids.
Establishment of science laboratory.
Installation of a Solar System for regular supply of electricity.
Future plans of Jamiat:
It is a difficult situation to continues religious and invitational activities due to conjest and dilapidated condition of the present office of the Jamiat, as the Jamiat has a great cause to achieve, it requires huge and sprouting piece of land to lead the path where magnificent building with tall paraphernalia could be constructed to continue other activities.
A four wheeler is needed for propagational tours.
